Join us on July 12, 2016 for a dinner presentation at the Christiana Hilton entitled "Leading Through Conversations is the Future of Leadership" featuring Dr. Ada Gonzalez of Transformative Conversations.

How do you listen and drive engagement in the workplace? How do you encourage speaking up?  The old model of leadership was all about having answers. Today, it’s more about initiating conversations that bring out the best thinking of all. The quality of the conversations you facilitate shapes the quality of your interpersonal relationships, and ultimately, the organizational culture. It all happens through conversation.

Neuroscience is teaching us that by stepping into one another’s shoes and listening without judgment, you trigger the prefrontal cortex (the executive brain) to access higher-level capacities. You can then access new thinking and move into creative thinking together, thus creating new possibilities.

Learning Objectives
  • Learn how changing environments require more sophisticated communication.
  • Understand the demands of globalization and it's connection with the power of words.
  • Discover how dialogue facilitates change and transformation.
  • Learn how to create better workplace meetings and connections through dialogue

Bio:

Dr. Ada Gonzalez, Ph.D., is an executive coach and organizational behavior specialist with a professional history that spans 30 years. It began with a focus on the psychology of learning. It later expanded into the study of systems, dialogue, and change. She started with a focus on the design, development and implementation of training programs in Latin America and as a licensed psychotherapist. By the time she finished her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, the earlier focus transformed into an interdisciplinary understanding of leadership development and organizational behavior around dialogue as a vehicle for change, collaboration, and innovation.

Dr. Ada is the President, of Logos Noesis, an independent coaching and consulting small business located in Delaware. She is an accomplished speaker, facilitator, executive coach and consultant. She enjoys facilitating strategic planning sessions with executive teams, especially around change issues. Because she enjoys the teaching-learning experience, she is also an Adjunct faculty for the University of Delaware. Through the years she has taught in many different locations at the Graduate level classes like Change management, Organizational Behavior, General Psychology, Group dynamics, Creativity, critical thinking and change, Educational psychology, Interpersonal Relations (communication, problem solving, conflict resolution) among others.

Dr. Ada has dedicated her career to developing in leaders the capacity for leading through conversations (utilizing dialogue at its best), which she considers the heart of the leadership journey. She just published a book: "Transformative Conversations: The heart of the leadership journey" in which she develops these ideas.

When she works with senior executives, she helps them develop their minds and hearts through dialogue for better connections with their employees, themselves, and their families. She assists executives and their teams in collaborating for innovative change instead of wasting time and resources in workplace conflict and misunderstandings. Through transformative conversations employee retention and productivity increases and the workplace becomes more positive and efficient.
