Joanne P. Lee, SHRM-SCP
Joanne P. Lee is Vice President of Human Resources for N.K.S. Distributors, Inc. in New Castle, Delaware. She is a Senior Certified Human Resources Management Professional through the Society of HR Management and received a professional designation in HR Management through University of California Los Angeles. Lee is a graduate of Neumann University in Aston, PA with a B.A. Degree in Business Management.
Lee has extensive experience in the Human Resources field working in California, Utah and Delaware. Her expertise in human resources spans the oil/gas industry, financial and insurance services, and wholesale distribution industries. A highlight in her career was in 2008 when she was a member of the SHRM U.S. - China Executive HR Exchange Delegation to Beijing and Shanghai China. The team of US HR executives spent 10 days promoting international exchange, networking and sharing best practices with Chinese students, educators and business professionals. Ms. Lee frequently contributes to media requests for statements and articles relating to HR. Most recently she contributed to a Point/Counterpoint article in the February 2018 edition of SHRM HR Magazine Is it HR’s job to create an ethical culture?
Ms. Lee is a member of SHRM and is currently serving as Delaware State Council Certification Director, and has completed a second year on the SHRM Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility Special Expertise Panel; in 2017 she was the Certification Chairperson for the Delaware Chapter of SHRM and facilitated the first study group for the state. In 2015-2016 she served as Chapter Secretary of Delaware SHRM; in 2013-2014 she served as the Nominations Chairperson. She also serves on the Business Advisory Board for Delaware Technical College. In October, 2017, Ms. Lee was awarded the Ron Shane Lifetime Achievement in HR Award by the SHRM Delaware State Council. This award is presented to the individual who best represents the Human Resources Professional in his/her daily life. In May 2017, Lee was a Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year nominee. She is a graduate of Leadership Long Beach in California.
